ronja is a Berlin-based musician, singer, and composer whose work moves between songwriting, ambient sound, and experimental composition. Classically trained on the flute, she later taught herself guitar and began writing songs—shifting toward a more intuitive, playful, and emotionally driven approach to music-making.
Her recent solo EP For Annette (Unguarded, 2023) blends sparse acoustic songwriting with abstract flute arrangements, touching on themes of loss, silence, and presence. Her sound has been described as fragile, warm, and spacious—music that evokes a sense of closeness and introspection.
ronja’s process values playfulness, imperfection, and listening. Her work is about connection—with the self, with others, and with the world around her. It’s rooted in attentiveness and a belief that music can be a tool for empathy and shared meaning.
Alongside her solo work, ronja is a member of the dreamgaze band Roomer and Spydergum Ensemble. She has collaborated and performed with artists including Courtesy, Ludwig Wandinger, M. Byrd, Luka Aron, Jungstötter and P. A. Hülsenbeck. Her new EP is finished and will be released in the near future.
